Hello Spring!

 Hello everyone,

hope you all having a great weekend!

I just wanted to make a quick post about all

the spring crafting going on in my studio

and also share a bit of news.

In reascent years I started working with old books and old book pages,
the reason for this was my dislike of troughing anything out,
("No I'm not a hoarder" I call it collecting),
and I accumulated quiet an assortment of old, well loved, yellow books,
which needed a new purpose.
So recycling or better upcycling was the way to reduce my stash a bit.
This is one of my upcycle Spring Bunnies😊
Repurposed with love!
I found the tutorial on Instagram and just dressed him up with
some flowers and ribbon.
There are so many possibilities with this craft, so I'm sure you will
be seeing more of my old books in the future.
If you interested, here is the link to Katerina Skripnik's instructions.
I hope I gave you an idea for re/upcycling some of your stash.

The laser also got a workout,
I'm in love with personalized bunny tags and the two
you see are for the grandkids.

Well, now on to a bit of exiting news.
After many years of debating the ins and outs of owning
my own business and many times talking myself out of the idea for
one reason or another I finally walked myself through
the doors of the courthouse and registered my business!!!
It is still a work in process and I'm hoping to get things up and
going in the next few weeks.
So, let me introduce you to

Productline will be mainly Greeting Cards and Laser cut/engraved items.
If you see anything on this blog you like,
please feel free to message/ e-mail me for more information.
I'm excited to start a new chapter in my life and can't wait to see where it will take me!
And no, I will not be changing the name of my blog,
MyPaperDaisy
has been a huge part of my creative story and I intend to continue this journey.

Please stay tuned for more updates
and don't forget to visit my Instagram page!
Have an awesome week
and always remember to

I'm still here!

 Hello everyone,

WoW, it sure has been a while since the last post!

Lots has happened since then, however I'm not quite ready to get into detail

of the live changing events in my live.

But as I superglue and duct tape my life back together, I want to assure you

I will be fine moving forward into a different and new normal.

The events over the last 2 years have taught me a valuable lesson:

Life is short, every day is a gift, tomorrow is not guarantied.

So live life to its fullest, make as many memories as you can

because at the end that's all you have left to hold onto in your heart.

So enough of the pity party
and on to business.
Some of you might follow me on my
Instagram page and know that I haven't totally fallen of the
face of the earth.
Actually, I have been quite busy with cardmaking, knitting
and an amazing new adventure in laser cutting and engraving.

Here are some of the creations ...

... and last but not least this pink beauty.
Playing with pattern repeats to
create a curvy texture!

If I sparked your interest
just hop on over to my
Instagram page and find out
more about my newest
creations!

Well, that's all for today,
remember,
Live life to it's fullest!
Create something beautiful!

Till next time!

Happy Easter

Hello
and
Happy Spring to Everyone!

I can not believe Easter is right upon us
but believe me
I'm definitely ready for spring.
Ready to say Goodbye to gray, cold and gloomy days
and Hello to
beautiful blooms, sunshine and time spend outdoors tending to the garden.
Hoping with mother natures coming back to live and her renewed beauty
I can give my mind a break from the craziness of the world, the sorrow,
sadness and unbelievable heartbreak.
I'm counting my blessings this Easter season that we still live in
a free county but also living with a realization that this is a
gift we should not take for granted for.
Our family and friends in Europe are never far from my mind and
I'm praying for a peaceful Easter for them.
This years Easter card really does not have a title but maybe
I just wanted to send a message of "Hope".

LOVE, love and XOXO!

Hello everyone
and
Happy Valentines Day
to all!
I know I'm a day early but it is never to early to
celebrate the people you love and cherish!

This years Valentines Day card started out to be just a pre-foiled heart border card
I found at Michaels and after adding a few things hear and there,
mostly leftover from previous projects and
some new additions, it ended up to be more like a collage card.
But I liked the simplicity of the lay out and the clean look so I rolled with it.
Hearts where cut with the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month, DOML-Jan18.
Cursive "love" was cut with the Spellbinders Glimmer Kit of the Month, GOM-JAN20
and XOXO are letters cut from the Spellbinders Small Die of the Month, DOM-AUG20.
Flowers was made with different size punches and layered and the large
"Love" was die cut with a die set I got from Hobby Lobby.
I decided to go a bit of a different rout for the Grandkids Valentines gifts,
no card this year, instead each one received a small personalized mailbox filled with sweets.

Well and I couldn't resist to make a Valentines T-shirt for Queen Bee.
She will be styling in school tomorrow.

I hope you enjoyed looking around
and come back often for more creative ideas.
Remember it's never to late to start a new hobby,
why not give it a try maybe with a handmade
Valentines Day Card.
I hope you have the sweetest
Valentines Day ever!
Thank you for your visit!

A little bit of Christmas cheer!

Hello everyone
and apologies for the long absence from Blog land.
Life got a bit complicated over the last few month
but things are settling down a little and we adjusting to what we
are hoping to be a better and healthier lifestyle
and a less stressful work schedule.
Despite the craziness I still found time to create some cards,
however it was the quiet in the stamp-room I cherished most over the last few month
and yes, creating beautiful things also gave me the balance I needed
and the feeling of accomplishment.
As we count our blessings and looking forward to Christmas with family and friends
I would like to share with you a bit of
Christmas Cheer
or all the little things I created to make this Season a little brighter for all of us.

This years Christmas card was created with the Spellbinders
Amazing Paper Grace dies "Jingle Word Frame", S4-1145
and "Doily Round", S5-406.
As well as Spellbinders "Fancy Scallop Edge Circles", S4-911.

Snowflake was cut with the Spellbinders die "Laced Flowers", S4-945.

After debating back and force over red or white snowflake I decided on both.

What do you think, red or white?

And it wouldn't be Christmas without adding a few more Gnomes to the collections.

The Shadowbox was an Aldi's find but needed some sprucing up.
Trees and Believe are cut with Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month,
"Pop up 3D Vignette Christmas Tree", DOMAPG-Nov21.

Love my Gnomies!

Last but not least The Christmas card for the Grandkids.
The cards are made with the Spellbinders
Card Kit of the Month, "Dancing Santa", October 2020.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
From our house
to yours
a very Merry Christmas
and a safe Holiday Season!

Happy Mother's Day and Vatertag!

Hello everyone
and
Happy Mother's Day weekend
to all the Moms, Grandmas and
special women in our life!

Today I would like to share with you two special cards I made for
my Mom and Dad, you see Mother's and Father's Day are
just a few short days apart in Germany,
Mother's Day is May 8th just like in the USA and Vatertag is on the 13th.
And NO, in case you were wondering, Hubby has to wait for his Father's Day card to June.

Moms card was made with the Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace dies
Antiquities Square, S5-396,
Bed of Lace, S4-1072 and
Picot Petite Ovals, S5-433.
Flowers are a variety of different punches and leaves are are made with the
Spellbinders Dies of the Month DOM-007 and Dom-DEC18.
Added a few pearls for a bit of elegance.
The sentiment was stamped with a stamp from Stampin'Up!
My Dad's card started out as a simple Cricut card (card in front)...
... however after looking at it for a few days I had the feeling something was missing.
It simply needed some fancying up!
I just took the front panel from the Cricut card and added the
Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grave Die of the Month, DOMAPG-MAY19 as a frame
and voila, a simple but elegant card.
Happy Mother's Day Mom!
Alles gute zum Vatertag Opa!

Thank for stopping by!
Happy Mother's Day to all,
enjoy your day!

Sending Easter Wishes!

Hello everyone
and
Happy Easter to you all!

Hard to believe we are already celebrating Easter
and what's harder to believe is that we are doing it for a second time
during this pandemic.
But with the start of spring and everything around us coming to live again,
there is a light at the end of the tunnel,
a renewed feeling of hope.
I received my first dose of the vaccine, hubby is fully vaccinated
 and
we are so ready to see my parents and family overseas again.
But for now sending happy handmade cards to everyone
will have to do!
For this years Easter card I decided to make
a basket full of Bunny joy!
Basket and Bunnies where made with the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month,
March 2020, DOML-MAR20.
Cute little Easter Egg was made with the Glimmer Kit of the Month,
March 2020, GOM-Mar20.
Grass was cut with the Cricut Air 2 and the little flowers are punches.
Sentiment was stamped with Spellbinders SFJ stamp set
"Joyful Greetings", SS-0689.

What do you think?

I hope you liked my little springtime bunny Easter card.
