Happy Holidays!

Hello everyone
and
Happy Holidays
to y'all!
I think it is finally safe to post the Christmas card,
since they went out  in the mail a while back and
hopefully made it to their destinations.
Sorry it took so long but I didn't want to spoil
the surprise for the recipients.
So with no further do here is our
Happy Holiday Snowflake Christmas card.

Holly leaves are a Sizzix die and berries are different size red rhinestones.
Snowflake is part of a Spellbinder die set called "Holiday" and the
large and small back panels where dry embossed with
Sizzix 3-D Winter Snowflake embossing folder.
 Sentiment stamped with Craft smart.
I decided to simplify the cards a bit this year
but I think they still turned out quiet well,
what do you think?

Thank you so much for stopping by.
Hope you have a wonderful and safe
Holiday season!
Wishing you and yours
a very Merry Christmas
and a very
Happy New Year!

Holly Jolly Snowman Tag

Hello everyone!
I'm hoping you all enjoy the
Holiday Season
and
"YES" it's crunch time,
9 more days to
Christmas.
For us it's just 8 more days since
we keeping the German tradition alive
and celebrating Christmas on
Christmas Eve.
It's sure been crazy busy in the stamp room
and I have to apologize for not posting
but there were to many projects and
non were quite ready jet to post.
One of the projects was this
"Holly Jolly Snowman Tag"
which was made with
Novembers Spellbinder
Die of the Month kit.
The Snowman Tag idea came from the
Just a few rhinestones for a bit of sparkle.
Sentiment is from the Recollections stamp set called "Christmas".

Perfect tag for a small gift of appreciation.
Spellbinders November Die of the Month.
Hope you have a Holly Jolly Christmas!
Sadly in all this crazy crafting frenzy my
Ara Shawl got put on hold.
Hoping to get it finished before the New Year,
keep the fingers crossed.
Last but not least...
...another little crocheting project I been working on.
This one is a Star Baby Blanket.
Just a few more rows and it's done.

Still waiting on everyone to receive our
Christmas cards before publishing it.
So please stay tuned
for the next post.

Wishing you all a
Holly Jolly Christmas Season!
Thank you so much for visiting!

Old Books and Silhouettes!

Hello everyone
and
Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!
I hope everyone had a blessed Holiday
with family and friends.
For us it was the traditional turkey dinner
with our oldest son and wife.
And no we did not join the Thanksgiving
shopping craze,
just enjoyed a few peaceful days at home,
me in my stamp room,
working on Christmas cards and a little
project I had planned on doing last Christmas
"Old Books and Silhouettes"

You will need an old book,
mine is a discard from work, rescued before it went
into the dumpster,
a little yellow and smelly but perfect for this project.
The fold is very easy, I found mine on Pinterest,
no glue needed, just tuck in the corners.
However I glued the upper corners of the
book pages together so they would not open up.
Silhouettes were cut with Cricut cardritge
"A Child's Year".

Ribbon and sparkly snowflake to decorate the tree.
The bow was made with my bow maker.

A very simple but beautiful Christmas decoration made
out of a re-purposed old book.

What are you crafting for Christmas?

Hope you liked this little Christmas craft and try it yourself!
Thank you so much for stopping by,
have a wonderful week!

Thank a Soldier!

 Hello everyone
and
Happy Veterans Day!

Sorry, no craftsy post today!

Today I would like to take the opportunity
to thank all the Veterans
who proudly served this country
and defended our freedom,
and all the men and women in uniform who
are still serving and are laying their live on the line
every day to maintain our freedom
 and keep us safe!
Thank you
from the bottom of my heart
for your dedication and sacrifices!
My two favorite veterans,
my sweet husband of 28 years
and our youngest son!

Adding Army mom to my titles
after being an Army spouse for over
25 years was a very proud day,
however it also comes with lots of worries,
anguishes and a lot of other feelings
which are hard to describe.

So, to all the Mom's, Dad's
and Spouses out there
Thank you for
supporting your soldier
and all the sacrifices you have to endure
by being a military family!

Thanks for stopping by
and
don't forget
Thank a Soldier!
Happy Veterans Day!

Autumn Foliage Card

Hello
and
welcome to another
Fall blog post.
The Spellbinder October small die of the month
arrived in the mail last week,
of course I was dying to try it out
and since it included some cute leave dies
out came another
"Autumn Foliage" card.
I kept the card very simple
with brown and off white colors.
 Little leave dies.

Center and background panels are dry embossed with
QuicKutz embossing folder "Leaves".
I think they turned out nice for a quick and easy fall card.
 Spellbinders October small die set.
Still doing Pumpkins...
...LoL, they are a little addictive!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Wishing you a great week ahead
and
a wonderful and safe
"Happy Halloween"!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Hello
and
 welcome to my
last day in September
blog post.
Wow, October 1st tomorrow,
how did that happen?
Not sure I'm ready for summer to end
but I thought maybe
making some fall cards will get me in the
mood for Autumn.
I recently decided to join the Spellbinder
"Die of the Month" club and
these cards were made with Septembers
beautiful small die set, perfect for the fall season.

A splash of gold paint on the acorns.
Sentiment from Stampin'up set "Happy Fall Y'all".

"Happy Fall Y'all"

Thank you so much for stopping by,
hope you all have a beautiful weekend
and a great week!

Playing with Gators!

Hello
and
happy weekend to y'all!
If you read the title and thought
I was playing with real Alligators,
sorry I have to disappoint you,
this is a more tamed variety I was playing with.
But nevertheless the little critters got me
a little frustrated at first
but I finally got the hang of these adorable
"Alligator Slippers"
aka
"Crocodile Booties".
I used Red Heart Soft yarn in colors white, off white,
dark leaf and guacamole.

The pattern for the Crocodile booties can be found in the
"Happy crochet book"
by Carolina Guzman.
Sorry,
I hope Carolina isn't to madd but
I just had to rename them to "Alligator Slippers",
Gators are just a bit more common in our
home state of Louisiana then Crocodiles.

Well, as Summer is coming to an end so did
my Summer knitting project.
I finished my Fade shawl.
At the last minute I decided to change
the last color from green to blue
and I think the color switch turned out pretty good.
This was one of the biggest knitting projects I done
in quiet a while
but it was a so worth it
"Love my Fade"!

Thanks so much for taking time
to visiting my blog!
Hope you have a wonderful week!
